Harsh words
and selfish actions.
Sir, life taught me but this.

Adamant actions,
and Stubborn decisions,
Sir, life has given me but opportunity for this.

I try,
Oh Lord knows I do,
To be a better man,
To be a better mortal,
for my time here,
on this green green earth,
is but limited to a few moments.
Moments, memories, lingering forever.
Strength waning, blood draining.
I watch you sire,
walk away, farther more so.
And I weep.
For lost opportunities.

Moans of regret,
Hollowed cries,
Sir, life has given my but this.
